BIOGRAPHY
BackgrounderCountry singer/songwriter rhythm guitarist and recording artist, Jason Whited resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he divides his time between two careers: teaching and singing. During the day, he is a high school teacher; outside of the classroom, his passion for country music is expressed in regional venues: singing and performing the universal language he loves – music. The up and rising independent ASCAP artist, who originally hails from Belle Vernon, PA, a rural suburb of Pittsburgh, has a lengthy list of accomplishments for doing exceptionally well in both career categories. Whited is an inductee in the national “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers,” and inclusion in the 2005/2006 “National Honor Roll’s Outstanding American Teacher” edition. His voice has been described by music reviewer Peter Robinson of Cloud 9 Music, as having “a golden quality with almost a gospel feel at times”: Ray Fontenault of DoRay Music Promotions recently called Jason’s voice “awesome”, noting it is “smooth, articulate and rich in tone.” During a time span of a little less than two decades Jason Whited has shared the stage with some of country music’s most prominent recording artists, including, but not limited to Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, Mike Reid, and Garth Brooks. He has performed on both regional and national television networks, and has received significant airplay on numerous radio stations throughout the United States, and European Countries. His vocals are sought out by some of Nashville finest songwriters and producers on a regular basis when producing their pro-demos. Jason is presently performing as a solo acoustic act in the Middle Tennessee area. Please contact Whited Enterprises (540-776-3237) directly If interested in booking his act at your establishment. |
